An Epic Goose Hunt

The first Teton Vortex release was inspired by a youth snow goose hunt in Northern California, 2020—a day filled with early mornings, donuts, and the excitement of kids experiencing the outdoors in its purest form. My son, Jacob, joined other young hunters under the guidance of mentors and fathers who set the stage the night before with blinds and decoys. As dawn broke and geese swirled above in a powerful vortex, the kids waited eagerly for the call. The shots, the smiles, and even the awe of watching a young lab named Blue make a 300-yard retrieve created memories that went far beyond the harvest. It was a day of joy, learning, and tradition—a story worth remembering.

This design represents more than a hunt; it represents heritage, mentorship, and the beauty of shared experiences in the wild. The Teton name honors the mountains that shaped my love of the outdoors, while the Vortex recalls the swirling geese overhead that morning. With each hat, we’re not just telling a story—we’re carrying it forward. And with 20% of profits funding outdoor opportunities for youth and veterans, this release is more than apparel. It’s a way to keep the wild alive, one story at a time.
